The work of Ana Elena Garuz (Panama, 1971) decontextualizes the elements of the world and peruses on exploring its two-dimensional and sculptural possibilities. Garuz submits the everyday matter – related to her daily life – to a rigorous process of classification, recombination, and interpretation; i.e., arranges her own puzzle to create new worlds.
