Self-taught photographer. Graduated in English at the Higher Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages, University of Havana, Cuba. Throughout his career he has had numerous personal and group exhibitions, both in Cuba and in the rest of the Caribbean, Latin America, the United States, France, Spain, Brazil and Japan.

With his work he deals with creating a personal version of the world and its individuals. Their subjects are not based on characters with their own names, rather they represent social positions, attitudes and ideologies common to many. The objects that he includes in his pieces also act as containers of meaning or icons, imprecisely named.
